Photoessay #2885 - Nineteenth Century German

I'm full speed ahead on my scrapbook project.

Which includes straightening out my translation workflow.

A number of the articles in the scrapbooks are in German.  I want to have them translated.  Naomi had a friend from Germany.  She's going to the U, could use the extra $$.  I arbitrarily come to the sum of $50/article.  Of course, now I realize that there's a lot more of them than I realized.  So I'm sending them off and she's sending back to me.  But soon I lose track of how many I've paid for and how many I've sent.  Plus the bank returns a $200 check because they thought the date said 2017.

So I spend several fun-filled hours this afternoon straightening it out.  I don't know why I thought I could do this without some kind of system.  Or at least a spread sheet.  So now, according to me, I know what she's translated, how it fits into my new numbering system, where the original articles are from, how much I owe, how many are still out.

I'm glad that's under control but it wasn't the most fun afternoon I've ever had.

Off for our Saturday burritos.

Picture of an example of the articles.  That's Maier's handwriting.
