Photoessay #2064 - The cousin extravaganza

Two group pictures from our day trip to Manhattan last Monday.  My second cousin Flash (known to this group as Sue) is a tremendously successful warm beautiful brilliant artist in NYC.  What do you think, do I regard her highly?

She's got that Manhattan lifestyle, and she welcomed her extended relatives to spend the day.

Here's two pictures, one taken by me when she met us at Grand Central Station (we took the train from New Haven).  Flash is standing between my cousin Mary Ann and Dennis.  The picture also includes her niece, mother and sister.

The second picture was taken by Dennis standing on a chair.  Another aunt and cousin have arrived.  Soon, Dennis, Flash will go across the street and bring back a wonderful feast of takeout food from the Latin American place across the street.

Look, that's mid-town Manhattan near Herald Square out the big windows in the front of the apartment.  Bustling and busy.

The party also honored Flash's sister and niece who had landmark birthdays.  Many of us had bought chocolate and other goodies in the shops at Grand Central Station which we all pooled for desert.  I bought a box of chocolate patties decorated with pieces of candied fruit.  Mmmm, they all went.  If I had had a bit more time, I would have bought another box on my way out of town.

This is definitely a better than average group of my relatives in the beauty department.  My sister wanted to come...also my cousin Malcolm just on the cusp on knee surgery.

I only regret not taking a picture of her turtles who lived in the bathtub.
