Photoessay #2062 - Boston cousins

Today we traveled to Boston up through the fall colors.  We visited my aunt in her condominium right across from her big old house in Newton Centre.  We met her cousin Barbara for lunch.  Apparently Cousin Barbara keeps track of all the family doings.  I was in trouble for a while because I didn't report my mother's death to her.

But she invited us to lunch and made quite an effort to get there.  She also gave me some  carnelian (?) earrings that had belonged to her mother, my great aunt Mollie.  I was very touched; so kind.  She was interested in all my family.  I've included a picture.  Sorry for the lousy background but the only place we could take a little group picture was outside this door of the restaurant (which was really) very noise.  My aunt Elgie, her cousin Barbara and myself.  They are in their eighties.

We messed around Elgie's place for awhile, went out for Thai food in the rain.  Then went to Logan airport.  The idea was to turn in the car, stay at a hotel at the airport, take their shuttle for a morning flight.  Not a bad idea but whooo hooo Logan has a steep learning curve especially in the dark and the rain.  It all worked out but not without it's harried moments.
