For many years, we have done business with Les Schwab tires. They give such good service. We have taught our children to do as we do. If you've got some tire issue, go to Les Schwab and buy what they say.
Including tire chains. Here, in Washington, you have to have tire chains. It doesn't snow that much in western Washington but, when it does, the authorities do not have hardly any snowplows. So you are generally stuck with a ton of compact snow and ice on the roads. Which nobody knows how to drive on. So the general community just falls apart. Again, we have taught our children, make sure you have chains because, when you need them, you really really need them.
Sometimes, for an entire week, you can't go anywhere unless you have chains. And I live in a major metropolitan area.
I find out now, that in the rest of the country, even when it snows a whole bunch, people do not need chains. Because the roads are plowed just about immediately. People scoff, chains? That's ancient history. Cowboys and Indian stuff. Crazy!
The question remains from this post....have we taught our children anything besides tire-related teachings. Apparently not.
So, the tire on the Prius was losing air all the time according to Dennis (not that I pay attention to that). He finally looked and saw a tack (actually it was a screw) in the tire. Asked me to go get it fixed. I go to Les Schwab, work on it right then, fixed the tire. Charge: zero. For free. They will fix your tire for free.
Les Schwab continues to be The Man.
