Photoessay #2044 - Long ago silly dog picture

I had a dog named Winnie.  Some kind of mutt that I got from the animal shelter in Sacramento.  Maybe a collie-bassett?  I told many landlords she was a 'small dog'.  Which she wasn't.

Not too smart, couldn't figure out how to go up and down stairs.  She was good  company.  She was not too good once we started having kids as she was a fear biter and would sometimes snap at kids.  Our dogs since then have not had that problem.

Here's a much younger Dennis (1977) (with hair) doing his manly thing by dead lifting this meek frightened dog.  I think he identifies this as our Chico house  (wel  lived there 1977-9).  So interesting to look at these pictures from long ago and you wonder whatever happened to that chair?  And what about that picture?

Seriously, we didn't buy a new piece of furniture until we were in our 50s.  We always had inherited whatever things.

Considering having the Maier Zunder piece be featured in a local genealogical journal in three installments.  Everybody wants a piece of Maier!
