I'm participating in my writing teacher Theo Nestor's second anthology of her student's writings. "They Came Back to Say." The first one was called "They Came Back to Say," kinda the same title, I know.
This year I'm taking an advanced memoir class from Theo that just meets once/month at the Good Shepherd Center. Also, I hope, "Jews and German Culture" at UW given jointly by Comparative Literature and German departments as an Access student.
Tonight is a small Book Launch at Third Place Books (6:30-7:30pm) in Lake Forest Park. Third Place Press is also the publisher and produced of the book. Twenty-five authors; she drew four names to read. Not me, though I would have prepared and done it if my name had been drawn. I have drawn the important job of handing out programs, however. Lucky for me, it's only about a mile away from my house.
Theo says the first anthology is the third largest seller for books published by Third Place press.
I'm still waiting on Connecticut History for my devotional exercises paper, that's the one I'm really watching out for.
Congratulations to Matt S (Ilana's boyfriend) who, after five months of a job search, got the job he really wanted, Mechanical Design Engineer at a Fortune 500 company. He can't wait to get started.
Picture of the front of the book taken from Third Place Book's website. Guess I will have to buy some copies!
