Photoessay #2015 - The horse's ...

This picture, taken from cnn.com and used without permission is rather my view of the Republican National Convention.  Much thanks from Matt for getting it for me.  The picture came from a 'funny postcard' shots from the news event.

Rather the other end of the horse?

Over the last several days, I've listened to bits and pieces of the speakers.  I can barely stand 30 seconds before I have to turn it off.  Aaack!  They can't mean all that, can they?  I know I'm a knee-jerk liberal, but I can't seem to make any sense of all they're talking about.

I also wish that the Obama administration had put through more reforms and particularly made the people in the finance industry pay for all of that fraud and unethical manipulation.

The other day, I heard an interview on NPR of a RNC delegate from West Virginia who was wearing a mining hat.  She clearly spoke in support of the coal industry that provided many jobs in her state.  Over and over, she said she was opposed to Obama's 'War on Coal' with the administration's rules that hurt the coal industry and people's jobs.  After the interview, one of the commentators had to say that these rules were putting more teeth for enforcement of mine safety rules.  That the mining 'accidents' resulting in miner's deaths often came from management's lax safety compliance.

Funny picture, though.  To me, it shows how your perspective can get so skewed if you focus on the wrong part  of the problem.  Clearly these guys are all decked out as riot police.  Which I don't think were needed.
