Photoessay #2005 - Sunny afternoon

It is so nice out there.  Temperature over 60 degrees, sunny.  To be trite, it doesn't really get much better than this.  Especially in April.  And especially here.  Teddy, the dog and Starbaby, the cat hanging out together on the back deck.  Just soaking up the rays.

Later in the afternoon, Dennis and I are returning from some errands.  I'm driving.  I merge into the left lane and all of the sudden a big white pickup or SUV hits me.  Not far from home.  I go through the next intersection and pull into a parking lot.  But the big white truck just drives on.  Doesn't stop.  Happened so fast, neither of us got the license number.

Not even a jolt so we are not hurt.  But some damage to our Prius.  That's a tear in the material of the bumper and the main part is separated.  Probably the whole bumper will have to be replaced.  Dennis is entering the claim.  No matter who was at fault, it's still hit and run.

Bummer.  And I was going to write about finding Getta and also the Fifth and Ninth House.
