Some of Maier Zunder's business cards or advertisements from the scrapbooks. Just including the earliest and the latest. The first card is from 1852 soon after he arrived in New Haven showing the old location on Church St.
The second one is from later in his career in 1892 in his sixties. This shows his final State Street address. I think he had some 'house brands' of liquor. One of the barrels on the left states "Old Yankee Whiskey - M. Zunder & Sons - New Haven Conn."
Notice the bell telephone logo. New Haven had one of the earliest phone systems in the country, the first phone book anyway.
