Photoessay #1270 - Inner Circle

Yesterday afternoon, I met with my Inner Circle writing group which came out of last summer's Guided Autobiography class. Cute group picture. The class was geared towards older adults with the emphasis of giving tools to enable people to write the many stories of their lives. We meet every two weeks to share our writing. Our theme for yesterday was spring.

We're trying something new, we all were supposed to bring an object to write about. We would pick one and we all would have to feature in our story. There's the three objects. Guess which one we couldn't resist. Glitz, dancing and familiar looking thighs.

Another new thing we tried yesterday was have somebody else read your story. I share a lot from my yearlong UW memoir class. They are all so interested in what we're reading, writing and learning in that other class.

You can tell we're having fun though we are missing Sarah, one of our group members. We are so full of talent, who knew? No, we all knew, that's why we continue to write and share.

Women need to stick together. Our families are so important but it's our girlfriends that will get us through.
