Last Saturday, I went letterboxing with my sister in law Loreen and niece Krystal in Ashland. I had identified 3 letterboxes recently found; it was a great opportunity to take a break just for us. Late Saturday afternoon, we went to the campus of Southern Oregon University where we found a letterbox easily. It was at the end of a painted line in a parking lot. Loreen took this picture of me (and Krystal) as we were doing our important work.
The view of the golden hills lit up by the late afternoon sun is a plus.
Later Loreen and I found two other boxes, one in a meditation garden near the hospital and one a ways up in Lithia Park.
I had brought two boxes ready-to-go with me. I discovered the box near the UO softball field had disappeared (dang they had pruned that oregon grape bush near the tennis facility) so I decided to go down the right field line this time and put it in those tall bushes between the field and the parking lot. I also put one at the Dorris Ranch, a living historical farm with ancient filbert/hazelnut trees. So creepy!
I can see the weight loss in myself in this picture. Go me! I tried to stay as consistent as I could in the trip but.....
