Bishop Woods

We had the honor of meeting Bishop Calvin Woods in Birmingham.  Now retired in his late 80s.  He wass one of the main ministers who led the civil rights movement in Birmingham.  He sang with us and prayed.  We had been warned about a high pitched whoop he gives and we heard that too.  He gave a little tour around the freedom park in front of the Civil Rights Institute and next to the church that was bombed killing the little girls.  Turns out there was a big wedding going on at the church that day.  He ended his tour here under this plaque.  Which was about him!  He looked very very proud.  He shook my hand he whooped.
