New coach for Texas

So I go away for vacation and when I come back, I don't check out the softball forum because, well, it's summer.  But after awhile, I decide to check in and see a topic "Oregon's Head Coach Opening" with about 300 replies.

The what?

I start going through the posts trying to figure out what the heck happened.  Mike White's gone but where did he go?  I look on the Oregon site, nothing, but Chelsea Spencer's listed as Interim Head Coach.  What?  What?  Finally I piece it (or some version of it) together.  He went to Texas (see picture).  I knew the Texas spot was open but I never thought much about it.  Apparently Texas offered him 450K and Oregon wouldn't match so he walked.  Or something.  Too bad because he had roots (as do we all) in Eugene.  What about Chelsea?  Rumor control has it that she eventually be given the opportunity to go to Texas.  Rumor control also has the top assistant at Oklahoma taking the Oregon job.  But I don't know.

There's Mike White wearing burnt orange.  It's shocking but this stuff happens all the time.

Just got to get used to it.  But with Mike and, maybe Chelsea gone, our connection with the program becomes even more tenuous.
