Gravy Boat

A picture from Ilana's Thanksgiving in Indiana.  Matt and Ilana were going to host at their house until the event got just too big (21? 24?) and it was swtiched to the Wesley Foundation at Purdue.

I think they decided to use paper plates though this would have been an opportunity to Matt and Ilana to use their wedding china and other gifts.  However Ilana had one special serving piece that she had her heart set on.  A truly fabulous gravy boat.  Grandma Massey came through and gave them the gravy boat (it cost $250 or similar).  Another person at the event took this picture of Matt and Ilana, posted it on facebook titling it "Ilana & Her Gravyboat."  Looks like gravy is in it.  Ilana wanted to use it.

It all went fine.  Charl was here all weekend and we did a number of cold things including Boeing Tour (some slush), visiting Edmonds beach in gale force winds marveling that crashing rolling dark brown surf pummerling the shore.  Watched some football games.  Today, he took us to breakfast and suggested maybe we could make a run for the Edmonds Kingston ferry?  Why not?  We had time, it doesn't take that much.  Beautiful (but cold) sunny day.  So we walked on and came back.

Oh and did host a full Thanksgiving for 8.  I'm trying to warm up!
