Photoessay #2875 - Greenland and Iceland

Ilana took this interesting picture of Greenland from the air.  A continent much forgotten and unknown to me.

They are back home now in Indiana; got back a day late because of a mechanics' strike in Iceland that ground all of the planes one day.  Which messed up the connecting flight to Chicago with a bunch of money in fees.  Insurance people don't want to reimburse.  Ilana originally wanted to fly back from Iceland to Chicago.  But you couldn't get there from here.  Made more sense to come back to Seattle and then on from there.  They'll figure it out.

Also a picture of Iceland taken on their bonus day.  I don't know where they were.  But it looks a lot like their other pictures from Iceland.

Glad to report this is the first day that I have not taken any pain medication during the day since my injury 1 week ago.

This evening, I'm going to a potluck for my genealogy group.  We haven't met in awhile.  And when we get together, we talk about .... wait for it .... genealogy stuff!

We were outside of Reykjavik in that picture. You can see some ships in the harbor. On our way to the airport which is 45 minutes out of the city.
