Ilana chose orange and pink for her colors. Do they work? Do they show Midwest influence?
I like them and think they worked out just fine. She originally picked creamsicle orange which seemed to be in style. The pink came later and the orange she had in mind became more saturated. She didn't really start with the deep shocking pink but 'watermelon' was the closest pink.
When it all shook out, I thought it was festive and pretty. Our friend Nancy G made the ties from some bright orange material. They were word by groom Matt, best man Andrew as well as attendants Hannah and Susanna.
They used the color on the invitations, programs, cake and table decorations. Ilana felt that she had cornered the market on orange ribbon through the entire midwest.
Ilana wasn't picky about the flowers, I liked how the florist used tulips as well as roses. Are those carnations or peonies. Picture of the bridal bouquet during the getting ready time.
