Photoessay #2585 - Folklife?

So the weekend shaped up unexpectedly.

I decided that I would not go to Folklife, none of those crowds for me.  I happily waved Dennis off on Sunday, encouraged him to stay as long as he wanted.  I followed the softball super regionals and fooled around with my mapping project.  He made it until 8pm or so.

It occurred to me this morning how that mapping paper should go together (it's delightfully short; I think it will work).  I knew we should get one SIFF movie in, yes one downtown at 6 pm.  So I'm working on putting that paper together...hours and hours of work to put into 403 words, one picture and 3 maps.  Dennis starts saying "You know, we could catch the Big Jewish Show and then go to the movie."

He likes klezmer.

I mumble, I'm making great progress on getting this project going. Dennis wants to do it'; he wants me to go.  The Big Jewish Show runs noon to three.  We get going around 1 pm.  Park in the expensive parking and see the last half of the show.  Then, scouring the program.  It's crowded and noisy but not as crowded as I've seen it.  Such a din!  We go to the Ukelele show ending with the Castaways, Seattle's Loudest Ukelele band.  They were fun!

Then off to the other side of downtown to Pacific Place to see "Still Life" which I liked a lot.

So I did go to Folklife, who knew?
