Photoessay #2425 - Nice piece of genealogy work

A few days ago I pasted a picture of my cousin Melissa's wedding.  Actually she is the daughter of my second cousin Joan.  Today I got this tremendous piece of work that she exhibited at the wedding.  A five generation genealogy chart on both sides.  Complete with pictures of every single ancestor.

Nice!  Really well done.

On the upper left hand quarter is my great grandparents, the brides great great grandparents. Morris Baumann and Clara Lederer.

Um, those dates for Morris, I'm not agreeing with them.  I've been doing Morris along with his sibs and nieces and nephews for several weeks now, I've been up to my ears with Baumanns from Schmeiheim, a village in the Black Forest near the French border.  I think the correct dates are 1857-1937.

There are a few documents that make it appear that he could have been born 10 years later but many more support the 1857.  Even more are the dates on cemetery marker from Mishkan Israel cemetery, he was part of a very active community; those numbers are likely correct.

But a very nice display.  I'll have to figure out how to get those dates corrected.
