Photoessay #2928 July 4 party

I know I missed my blog post yesterday.  Turns out that we left in the morning and went to two parties, one quite a distance away.  I am grateful to have such a good time.

Usually there are a number of summer events at the family cabin on Harstene Island.  Never heard of this island?  It's in the South Sound about 15 miles north of Shelton .  Connected to the mainland by a bridge.  You still don't know where it is?  I probably wouldn't either.

It takes a long time for us to get there, over two hours.  Seems like it should be shorter.  But it's not.  High spirits and good atmosphere there this year, some young people.  We bring Teddy who has a blast.  He sticks by the cabins, doesn't wander.  Why would you want to escape into the woods when all of the action is all right there?

Here's the meal located at the cabin next door belonging to the cousins.  On Pickering Passage.  I'm sitting at a smaller table with Loreen, Eliza, Jim and Dennis.  Looking at the bigger table.  Weather was great, though not sunny.

We never even went down to the gravel beach.  Even so Teddy injured himself by overdoing it.  He can't help himself.  So many people to throw the ball.  Must chase it giving total effort.  It's just so much fun.

After we came back, we went over to the Greater Gellerman for another big dinner and swapping stories.
