Photoessay #2890 - Yes Folklife

We did make it to Folklife for 3 or 4 hours today.  Dennis suggested that we find an indoor venue that has succeeding acts and just listen to whatever walks in the door.  Folklife has fewer indoor venues.  Plus it was raining; not hard but more than drizzle.

I agreed to this; we went down and parked.  Went to Friends of Folklife to pick up some swag because Dennis is a member.  Though later he looked at my chest and asked "Why do you have a 2008 button on?"  I dunno, they probably gave me one at the booth.

We went to the Center Theatre and watched

Everett Norwegian Mens Chorus - my favorite I think
A Celtic orchestra with the Lassie dancers, hey I recognize them, where's the bagpipes
Dusty Strings Guitar orchestra
Shape singers- An old English and American tradtition; probably the oddest

Then they closed down the stage and we left.  Dennis kind of wanted to eat there but, remember it was still raining so we bought a pizza on the way home.

Maybe not the complete folklife experience but something.

Dennis talked about his own collection of Folklife buttons; I got out mine, I think I have some older ones.  In the spirit of matrimonial harmony, I combined my collection of Folklife buttons with his.
