Photoessay #2889 - Event market strong

Yesterday, we did the tour of wedding venues again.  This time more successful.  Dennis, Melina, Naomi and myself.  We met the event planner at the Pan Pacific and she took us upstairs where a wedding was being set up.  The chairs were set up in the room.  With permission, Melina and I walked down the aisle; I made a guess as to where she would stand.  So we stood there for a few minutes imagining what it would be like.  Melina very engaged; really trying to prepare herself.

Interesting, looked like the wedding pair were Korean and a large picture of the two of them in their formal wedding attire set up on an easel at the door.  Some tightly designed florist decorations in the front.  Some interesting multi-height glass containers at the end of the aisle with some water and red flower petals and candles floating.  The picture I found online was sort of the same idea.  Melina worried she would knock them over.  We looked at the pretty outdoor terrace and the dining room set up.  Nice to see everything set up at the venue.  No idea what ideas Danny and Jessica have.

Then on to Ivar's Salmon House on Lake Union where we will host the "Rehearsal Dinner."  Dennis and Naomi hadn't seen it.  They were both pleased.  Again, they were setting up for an event so we could get an idea.

We ordered two large orders of fish and chips from the outside part and made towards the Center for Urban Horticulture which we may use in the future.  Made two unscheduled trips across the University and Montlake Bridges going there.  We sat outside on some benches and split the fish and chips.  Beautiful day.  Bonus!  A wedding set up there so we could take a look.  Beautiful decorations of the tables in the main room.  Rich brocade looking table runners in shades of orange and red on the table plus florist looking pretty arrangements on each table.  Some swag looking draped at the tops of windows and doors.  Looks like the wedding itself was in the glassed in room.  Melina wanted to know where the pretty tulips were that we saw last time.  Gone but pretty flowering bushes.

We will have to give people directions to Ivar's Salmon House.  Years ago, they ran a contest "Draw a map to Ivar's."  Great entries because there is NO easy way.  It's just impossible, I certainly have wandered around up and down hoping I would run into it.
