Photoessay #2888 - Geneveive Bujold

/>

I frist saw this actress as the steamy young innocent in "King of Hearts" when I was in college in 1970s.  A cult film then, not sure why, but we liked it a lot.

Last night, we went to a SIFF film "Still Mine," which was about old people attended by mostly old people.  Dennis reminded me that we saw that other old people film "Go Forth the Day" or similar.  Also about old people.  But it was more earthy and telling how it really is when trying to care for an aged relative.  "Still Mine" was more sweet and cute and, though full of adversity, everybody always looked good, clean and well-fed.

Geneveive Bujold co-starred in the film last night as the old lady with Alzheimer's.  Very rewarding to watch.  And Bujold beautiful as usual, slim, good hair.  Actually portrayed her showing older than she is (71).  Enjoyed her performance and the whole movie.

But thing's were a bit too sweet.  Dennis' mom suffered from dementia and there were no cute or sweet moments.  None.
