Photoessay #1514 - End of summer?

In the Puget Sound region, summer is over at the end of August. That cold breeze comes back and that's the end of that. This summer, we had our longest series of temperatures over 80 degrees (which is considered real hot around here) in September. But it's the second half of September and a pretty nice day. I decided we should do a little area appreciation.

Besides, Naomi goes to Ellensburg on Sunday. Melina and Dennis will drive over separately and help out. Give Melina a chance to learn about going to college. Did any of my kids have that kind of opportunity when they were in the fifth grade. No. But grandchildren are different. Maybe an advantage of having younger grandparents? By the time my kids were 10 years old their grandparents were long past sending kids to college.

Naomi was done with her 'Pre-Autumn experience' today and when she came home, I suggested that we take the dog to the beach. Just to mark the end of summer.

Haven't been to the Edmonds Dog Beach for a long time. Hardly anyone there. You can see the diffuse light that passes for sunshine around here. Picture taken around 1:30 pm. Teddy did go in the water a bit. He likes to get a little swimming in.
