Photoessay #1515 - Some softball?

Dennis wanted to see some softball today and I agreed to come along. Worked out fine because I had a meeting 10:3-1:30 and LadyHawks Miller played in late afternoon. Down at Kent Service Fields that almost an hour away. Then he decided he might like to go to Sprinker in Tacoma instead to watch the 14U team because he really enjoyed them. Fine.

So we go all the way to Sprinker (my memories there are being there for endless hours when Susanna played) and watched the 14U team play. and the parents were nice and Dennis bought some cool decals and the game was entertaining.

Then it started to rain. As Gin says, I'm out of shape because then I got wet and cold and wanted to move on. We stopped for some supper and maybe go on to Kent Service Fields to see the evening game with Breeze-Leiter

But it was dark and raining and if you don't have a kid playing, it's just not as urgent.

But being at the tournament out at Sprinker, I remembered what a great activity this is for teenage girls. The tournaments take up the major part of the weekend. A lot of family and community support and the players have their teams and coaches and teammates and games. They're busy building skills and competing. And also having a great time. Susanna always did.
