Photoessay #1503 - Berries

Just bought a half flat of berries. Not this flat exactly but one very much like it. I took the picture of another flat I bought about a month ago. Challenge is to eat it all up. We are down from 5 adults to 3 adults in the household right now.

Naomi will be starting her pre-autumn experience (working with a kindergarten teacher) in earnest tomorrow.

Beautiful weather this whole weekend and maybe continuing for awhile. But it's September here, you can feel it in the air. Not like California where September is just another summer month.

I appreciated the weahter in Husky Stadium on Saturday and at Harstine Island yesterday.

The ushering at Husky Stadium went fine. University of Washington played Eastern Washington which is in a lower division. A lot of dismissal about this 'easy' opponent. But Eastern Washington won the national championship in their division last year and they were nobody's fool. Washington won but just by a hair. Eastern Washington dominated them up and down the field. Magnificent coverage of their quarterback said one sportswriter. The Eastern quarterback completed 39 out of 69 passes and racked up over 500 yards. Against the big guys. Definite grumbling from the regulars in my section. It was an ugly win for Washington.

Plus the berries are local, none of that California stuff.
