My memoir teacher from last year put together this book of her student's writings using Third Place Books Press. Turns out to be a real book! She worked on it during our class so none of our writings are included (darn!). The impetus was the death of a class member from cancer, the book is dedicated to her.
I bought one a copy a few months ago but am just now reading it. Some escellent pieces. I'm encouraged. I'm working on a piece right now in response to the prompt "Expectations" about my parents expectations for themselves, their expectations for and my expectations for myself.
I am taking Theo's followup class in September.
