Photoessy #1141 - Rainy Meditation Circle

Today, we spent much of the day with my cousin Lynn. We enjoyed seeing her husband Matt and son Abe. And their Ohana, a small apartment they have downstairs in their home for visitor's use. We planned an outing around their town (which I wouldn't attempt to name) and the next town up (Captain Cook).

However, a big storm hit Hawaii. As clueless tourists not paying attention, we would not have heard about it at all except we overheard some people talking about it when we stopped at a small smoothie/sandwich place after we had left the botanical garden outside of Hilo. Lynn also mentioned the storm, we watched the tv a bit, lots of rain over Kauai. But this afternoon, the rains poured down, not like Seattle, the tropical downpours, multi inches per hour.

But we soldiered on to the Paleaku Peace Garden which featured some interesting garden features including a scale map of the Milky Way, actually very pretty in beautiful variegated yellow gold and green tones. Reminded me of the spiral garden that Jolene built in her back yard. Second shot shows Lynn and some of the spiral arms of the garden.

We also walked the circle meditation garden laid around in spirals. Join Pam, Lynn and I (left to right) as we walk the circular pattern. To the Center. In the rain. I think that if it wasn't pouring rain, you can enjoy a view of the water from this hillside garden.
