Photoessay #1150 - Sunny Sunday

It was supposed to be rainy and maybe even snow today but the day dawned sunny and mild and stayed that way throughout the day. Good day to maybe do something with Melina? Everybody else seemed to want to do xmas shopping. I've just about completely given that up. If other members want to and they've got the bucks, fine.\

We stopped at Nordstroms on the way home from the holiday party to purchase a gift certificate for Dennis' boss.

Seems that this year the overall community potential for obligatory gift-giving is much higher.

We still pick names within the family.

So I called over to Redmond and asked Melina if she would like to come over today. Yes, I told her we likely could bring Teddy to the dog park. On the way, I got the idea, why not check out the Marymoor Park dog park? I've heard a lot about it. Melina liked the idea. We bumbled through Redmond as usual and after wandering around a bit found it in that huge park. Interesting, not fenced.

We ventured in. Huge area! And hundreds of dogs, no lie. Jillions of people and jillions of dogs spread out over acres and acres. I snapped a picture (new camera guys). I chose this shot even though neither Teddy or Melina is in it because of the view of the mountains. Maybe this is the standard poodle crowd? Place is so spread out. Maybe so many people came because it was an unexpectedly sunny nice Sunday afternoon before xmas. Teddy had a ball, running too and fro. None of us could quite fathom it.

Later, I located a local letterbox we hadn't found. It starts looking darkish around here around 3:30pm. Dennis, Melina and I set out for a letterbox on Haller Lake. We didn't even know that public access to this little north Seattle lake existed. But it did. The instructions were clear and easy to follow but we could not find the box.

Picture of Dennis and Melina 'assuming the position' Nice winter reflection, you can see the light already starting to fade.

Ilana, Naomi and Melina upstairs playing Lego. Soon Dennis will take her back to Redmond.
