Photoessay #1089 - Looking for a partner

Nah, I'm not Barack Obama nor Patty Murray. Though Patty Murray had her start in the Shoreline pre-schools and how close can you get that for shared roots? Patty Murray is in a tough re-election campaign and we're contributing.

So the democrats are pulling out all the stops with campaign appearances. Usually NObody comes to Washington State. Last presidential election, the candidates made appearance here in the 24 hours before the caucuses. Besides that, nada.

But Bill Clinton was here yesterday in Everett, Barack Obama will be at the UW on Thursday and Michele Obama next Monday in Bellevue.

I would like to try to get into Hec Ed so see Barack Obama on Thursday. I'm looking for somebody to go with me. Likely to be an all day event. I even have a transit plan. Park around Discovery House/Mosaic/First Nazarene church in Wallingford (I know there's parking there, I'm there several times/week and take the 44 bus to University Hospital which is not far away.

Aside: ya know, that could be the way for me to get to that Nov 18 UCLA football game. Which I'm supposed to work. Thursday game. Usually they give us parking passes but since the university will be in session, nobody but the VIPs get to park. The event staff people haven't told us how we are going to get there. Unfortunately I would have to take the bus BACK there in the dead of night. This still needs work.

So far, I have asked *8* people to come with me. No dice so far. Alan C was very excited about it last night but declined this morning. I may just end up going by myself. If you are in our radio audience and know me and would like to go, get in touch!
