I took quite a few pictures illustrating the many activities at Mom's Weekend (I'm home now!). But this picture, taken at the very end of the weekend caught my eye.
We took this picture specifically for Lee J. I had told Denise H (who I rode with to Pullman) about letterboxing and got real excited about it. On our way out of town, we decide to go letterboxing instead. Why not? Always time to letterbox.
First we went up to see the bears and longhorn sheep to look at boxes that I had already found on previous trips. I didn't have any of my letterboxing stuff (Why? Why?) but we had fun looking at them anyway.
Then we checked out the 'Welcome to Pullman' box. Hey, found it! We were reduced to Naomi drawing a space needle in the book. I had to convince Denise that using your fingerprint could be used in a pinch but could not be used for your personal stamp. But you can tell that we're having a good time, this was our last shot from Pullman, we wanted to show Lee that we actually found a box.
But we're sitting on some concrete. Where are we? We're behind this concrete sign welcoming students, visitors and residents to Pullman on the road into Pullman. The box was at the base of a tree behind this sign.
