Photoessay #992 - Gum Wall

A Seattle tourist attraction that I did not know about. Proves I don't get out much.

Natsuko made a whirlwind tour of the Pike Place Market on Saturday. Ilana insisted that we MUST see the Gum Wall. The what? In the 1990s, people waiting at the theatre in the Market started sticking gum on the wall and the local maintenance people gave up trying to scrape it off. Known as one of the germiest attractions around. Participatory, one of the stalls offered gum you could pre-chew and contribute to the wall. Always ready for the next attraction plus I take pictures whether you like it or not...Natusko poses in front of the Gum Wall at the always mysterious Market. With some other sightseers and contributors.

So crowded, we couldn't even buy anything. Except we did stand in line for doughnuts.

I am buying an English language guidebook for Japan....

Ilana having a good trip to Ann Arbor. Do NOT do the math regarding that out of state tuition.
