Please excuse me, dog posts two days in a row.
But I now get this 'Pitt Bull' thing. Last night, Teddy and I went to the dog park. All the gang was there, I heard "Oh here's Teddy!" murmurred. I personally think that two separate owners of 13 week shepherd puppies (Tony and Gulliver) come to the dog park so their puppies can play with Teddy. He's still a youngster himself (almost 9 months) but he's so gentle with the puppies, he lets them climb all over him.
Last night, a real Pitt Bull came by. I think the owner said that he's (Pitt/Bulldog mix) or something. But he showed aggressive behavior, he was just louder and rougher than all of the other dogs. He intimidated and snarled at them. Yet, he was still playing and I think his owner ovre-reacted a bit, he wasn't really being so bad. But he could scare you with his strength and aggressive rough behavior.
But I realized that Teddy's not like that at all. He can hold his own in a wrestling match against the bigger dogs. But he gently greets every person there, children get an extra lick on his way past. He's sought after by the puppy owners because he plays so appropriately. He doesn't act aggressive at all.
He does NOT have the aggressive behavior of a Pitt Bull. I really do not have to worry or be so defensive.
Picture shows Teddy with the pitt bull from last night, don't know his name.
