Photoessay #790 - Bad boy? Or artiste?

You decide.

Seven month old Teddy (of uncertain breed) has been sleeping in his crate since he arrived in January. But he's growing and we thought maybe he could sleep in there with the door open? Plus, it's really really hot. As in, this may be the highest temperature EVER in Seattle, today. Very very hot. It's already 95 degrees upstairs in my house. Been going on for days.

Here very few places (residential or business) have air conditioning. Just don't need it. Ilana reports that the buzz around the UW is that Suzallo and Odegaarde libraries have air conditioning and last night, every seat was full.

So we didn't shut Teddy up in his crate last night. You can see the result. "not ready for prime time" observes Ilana. He got into Naomi's room and got hold of all that fun yarn and spread it all over the place. Multi-colored tangled mess. He must have had a great time galloping back and forth spewing yarn.

Naomi will have a fit. He looked a little crestfallen. But he didn't get it. He doesn't look guilty because, as Naomi observes, he's NOT guilty.

We kind of separated it and put it into bags. Naomi will have to sort it out.

But, Ted, you are going to have sleep in your crate!

Rather creative though. Have you ever read "Why cats paint" (great book!). This could qualify as a textile installation. Augmented by some chewed up playing cards and some beads.
