I did walk up the hill yesterday (why is everything at Washington State University up hill?) The buildings rather overlap kind of fit together like a jigsaw puzzle with lots of stairs and bridges. I bought Naomi the world's most expensive WSU jacket, it's microfiber crimson, quite handsome. I also spent some time (with her permission) working on her schedule. I know, I know, parents should NOT do this but she's not going to have much computer or phone contact until she has to go. Hope she likes the changes I made.....
Glad to get home and I can see the charm of that Hwy 26, it IS the Cougar Highweay. 133 miles of ruralness, right down the center of the state.
I didn't take as many pictures as usual. The first day, I saw that there was fruit up airport road. Actually it was UPick cherries from the university's organic orchard (Tukey Orchard). This shot is through the trees and the Palouse beyond.
The Palouse refers to a large wheat growing area of rolling hills in Washington and Idaho. It has it's beauty, WSU is surrounded by mile on mile of golden wheat fields. It can grow on you, I can understand it.
On the newsfront, Ilana got a part-time job in the library system just north of us. She wanted to work for them, she's please as punch. Yes, it's part-time but it's in a library and you can always use it as an In.
