Photoessay #783 - By the pool
A nice moment fairly early in the trip. On Friday morning, there were a number of errands to be run. I volunteered to be with my mom while everybody else ran around. Actually there wasn't a lot to do. The flower people said they would deliver. Mary Ann went and bought fruit that turned out not to be used. So everybody came back until we went over to Pam's house for lunch. The bhotel (thanks mom for paying for it) was quite nice in a lot of ways but the rooms were very dark. Dennis and I, Naomi and Charlie stayed in one two bedroom unit. My cousin Mary Ann and my mom stayed in a smaller unit. Lou Ann had her own room. They had a lovely breakfast and nice grassy areas, really looked like a nice condiminium.
So my mom and I sat by the pool in the morning and I showed her my pictures. I left to go fetch Lou Ann and snapped this picture as I left. My mom loves to sit by the pool. She's pretty frail and has lost way too much weight. But she was determined to have a good time and go to EVERYTHING and she did. She also ate very well.
From left to right...Dennis, my cousin Mary Ann, my mom, my brother. We lucked out on the weather big time. Pleasant, the whole time, high temps in 70s. Pretty good for Indiana in July.
