Photoessay #708 - Sunday dog park

I brought my camera to the MLT dog park this afternoon. A great way to get Teddy tuckered out. One disadvantage is that I don't get the exercise like from a regular walk. Only takes 6 minutes to drive there, parking never a problem. Always people and dogs there.

First shot shows the top part of the acre on a Sunday afternoon. Plenty of dogs and people. People like to chat and talk about the dogs. Yes, it's dog-geeky. There's a central sign with two dog water dishes. People usually bring a milk carton full of water to add to the general supply. Rumor has it that the citizen group who helped the dog park get established is collecting donation to run a water pipe directly in. Costs $1k from what I heard. The park borders directly on the swimming pool parking lot. Right next to frisbee golf, also near some softball fields.

Second shot illuatrates better the actual terrain and landscape of the acre. Somewhat cleaned out but still that Puget Sounds forest.

Everybody generally gets along and an instant feeling of community. Among the people and the dogs!

Too bad, this wasn't around when my kids were little. Susanna especially would have loved it!
