Photoessay #677 - Dog beach

Grow up Daisy so you can be as big as your follower. No, this is not a picture of a baby dog and a big dog. Daisy, the dog in front is a full grown pug. Her friend behind her is a mastiff.

All part of the scene at the Edmonds Dog Beach. Remember my favorite place of last summer? Dogs are not allowed on all the beaches at Edmonds. But now, there's a part at the very end set up specially as a dog beach. Beautiful afternoon and lots of people and dogs there. I've never gone to a dog park or beach. Teddy, neither. So my friend Nancy brought her pug Daisy and I brought Teddy and we tried it out. The dogs do seem to be on their best behavior. Teddy was unsure, he would rather bother Daisy who he knows. A couple of times he looked like almost would go join the other dogs but would chicken out half way there. As I thought, he didn't like the water much, not a water dog. Got his feet wet on a big wave.

Park located on Puget Sound looking across to the Kitsap Peninsula.

An example of finding an interesting little part of a bigger picture. I like the bigger picture also.

We met Teddy's evil twin Bella, a 5 month old pound puppy that looked just like Teddy, her brindle was a little grayer. She was smaller, her owner said she WAS part pit bull. But she was fierce and played rough, pinning Teddy and making all kinds of agressive noises. That's one of my worries about Teddy. But, so far, other than bugging Daisy, he's been ok.
