Photoessay #466 - Danny
Last night, my swimming buddy Julia and a recent reader of my blog asked me if I had any pictures of my son up. I don't see him too often; I know I've had pictures of him up but not recently.
Coincidentally he called today. Naomi has been trying to call him getting him to purchase a ticket to the 'Medieval Banquet' which is a dinner and performance put on by the Highland Dancers and Pipe Band. Naomi, as senior captain, has been going nuts trying to get the dances, dancers and costume changes straight. I remember a few years ago when it was just the concert, there were some kids in front of me "Oh no", they moaned "not bagpipes AGAIN!" We will have pictures
Danny said that he had to work on Friday night and sounded sincerely sorry that he would miss it. He also told me that Ruth, the Executive Director of Parent Group had left a message asking him to speak. He was a little concerned that he might sound like a disappointment if he was not perfect. He admits to going to a bar with some friends from time to time. I assured him that those listening were not looking for perfection, just wanted to see a reasonable, responsible adult. He had done such an excellent job last April, such poise, so articulate. Everybody so impressed. Mike S, characteristically says, I can't see how such a darling kid could have caused any trouble. But Danny sounded so great. You know, he says, I would like to give back. When I help the parents, I help the kids. Right ON!

You know, I'm way off on my numbers. I lost, like 200, somewhere along the line. I should just give up. I should be in the 600s
