Photoessay #509 - Cliff's weather

A UW professor, Cliff Mass, runs a local weather blog and I've become an acolyte.

http://cliffmass.blogspot.com/

Cliff writes commentaries on the weather indicators and the weather service forecast. He includes helpful charts like the one on this post. What the heck does it mean? I have no idea but it's nice looking. From yesterday. Maybe it means 'snow', I dunno.

Then we all chime in with our own readings especially during extreme weather periods. Like now. Like MORE SNOW last night. The weather watchers know more what to say but my contributions run something like:

"It's snowing in Lake Forest Park at 7pm"

OK, decidedly non-technical but gets the point across.

The general feeling among the faithful is that Cliff not only knows about the weather, he controls it. In fact, he's responsible for all of it. Feel free to blame him.

It's like Cliff has become a member of our household as in:

"Tell Cliff to cut the snow"
"How come Cliff didn't tell us about this?"
"Cliff got this one wrong"
"What does Cliff think he's doing?"
"Cliff said this would happen"
"I TOLD Cliff, no WIND STORM!!!"

etc etc

Good to have local genies and wizards around.
