Photoessay #498 - Silly xmas

I really like the silly pictures, they seem more spontaneous and fun. We woke up today to even MORE snow. We had planned a big xmas morning breakfast cooperatively cooked. Susanna spent the night here last night. Danny calls, it's snowing hard, they don't have chains, he thinks it's dangerous to come or for somebody to come get him. I'm disappointed but we start getting the breakfast together. It's almost done and Danny and Jessica do arrive. We decided we would have to go somewhere to find something to eat so we may as try to come here. They made it though they had to leave the car at the bottom of the court. So great, all the food comes out right and we have homemade buttermilk waffles, eggs and sausage, a fancy coffeecake that I had bought as part of a high school orchestra fundraiser, fruit and sparkling cider. Great meal! We used Lanaya's floral dishes that we call the 'Easter dishes' because she used tham when we came over for Easter dinner.

Danny was worried and in a bit of a hurry because it continued to snow and he worried about getting back. Throughout the afternoon, the conditions have improved. Cliff Mass says this is the last snow day though the Weather Service does show mixed rain and snow tomorrow. Too much snow! Way too much snow! It should be over already.

So I took this family picture and, at the end, I said 'everybody look silly' and, as always, I like this shot the best.
