I've found that a consequence of placing 38 letterboxes in a short time is that they get lost or stolen so, really you should be constantly maintaining them. Which I have not done. But I'm getting back on it.
My box at Veterans Memorial Park in Mountlake Terrace (less than 3 months away from home) has been very popular (18 people have found it since Gin and I placed it on Memorial Day). But I heard from a letterboxer that it's disappeared. So I had a carrot stamp so I made up a box the other night (I enjoyed that a lot) and went over to replace it. Beautiful afternoon for December in Seattle. It's dark here a lot in the winter but some sunshine today. I went to the park and started off into the woods, some verdant tall trees with sun shining through. From near where I placed the box.
I admit to listening to youtube pieces on the Decembrists NONSTOP since Ilana went to the concert. She had burned a CD last year and I listened to it but it seemed that so many of the songs were kinda twisted. But now I've watched and learned about the band and why Colin Melloy writes as he does. At least what you can get from video interviews. Who can't be fond of the Sons and Daughters with the 'Bombs Fade Away' encore?
An advantage of working at home and you can play things over and over loud and nobody to complain. Here's a more complete video of the Sons and Daughters closing on Sunday in Seattle. You can see Ilana on the left towards the beginning of the refrain

I'm glad you finally see how awesome the Decemberists are!
Mr Colin Meloy is playing on campus today, and I lack the funds or time to see it. I'm so sad!
