I'm the big decorator in our neighborhood this year. I've found that I really REALLY like the lights in the depth of winter. In fact, this year I want to keep them through January. It's really a collection of lights that mostly work that Susanna and her friend strung over some bushes and along the hand railings. But it makes a nice mass of light that reassures me.
I'm thinking this display is a bit un PC considering. So sue me.
Dennis even bought a timer thing that turns them on and off at appropriate hours, I'm in business!
A number of years ago when Susanna was in high school, Jonathan's uncle (Jonathan lives next door) bequeathed him his whole collection of lights and two of them went nuts. The tried to outdo each other with their lights, they lit up the mailboxes and the bird feeder. Ian, across the street not to be outdone, would see that they were stringing lights and he would get busy. Locally, people would come and admire "Jon and Suzie's lights". Needless to say, some of that original collection which they augmented from time to time ended up over here.
I can't figure out why, you have a string of lights that work perfectly fine, you take them out the next year and they don't work.
Congratulations to Susanna for passing the first part of her EMT final. A tough course, shame on the Pac 10 for not agreeing to honor Susanna choice for the Pac 10 Postgraduate Scholarship that she won fair and square.
