Today Naomi, Danny, Dennis and I picked up our granddaughter (and Danny's daughter) Melina, age 8, and went to Seattle Center to go to the Pacific Science Center. We spent several hours there (meeting Susanna for lunch) at the museum and then took Melina home.
And I took this picture. Keep in mind, that we were in some of the most urban areas of Seattle and then returned to Redmond.
From the floating bridge over Lake Washington, looking south. Medina (swanky east side suburb) in the foreground, Mercer Island behind. And in the background, the Mountain, Mount Rainier. You can't always see it, the locals would say "The mountains's out today". Sailboat thrown in for good measure.
Seattle landscape in November. This really is taken as part of a day in the city.
