Photoessay #267 - Goodies at Honey Bear

Honey Bear Bakery, located at Third Place Books, known for their wonderful cakes. Things I NEED to stay away from. Awfully tempting and yummy. Especially chocolate. Sometimes Ilana convinces me to visit the Honey Bear to share some cake. Tonight, after the Girl Scout Fun Day, I may go down with Ilana to listen to a gypsy-style jazz band, Hot Club Sandwich. I don't take the time often enough (like never) to enjoy the free music and author talks just a mile down the road.

Ilana and Naomi off working the Campus Girl Scout event for Brownies out at Camp River Ranch. Ilana, very experienced at running events at River Ranch, also serves as president of the organization. At one point late in high school, Ilana gleefully told me "I can be a girl scout in college!" And so she is.

Dennis did make the emergency run this morning out to River Ranch (40 miles away) because Ilana miscalculated the amount of craft materials she would need.

I'd love a place like that down the road from me!
