Photoessay #266 - Camellia

Not in bloom yet, not even close but it's coming, it's coming. A large untamed camellia bush grows in my front yard. Likely I should prune or feed it or something. But I just let it grow however it wants. Two years ago, the bush bloomed and bloomed, hundreds of shocking pink flowers. This year also looks good, check out the buds on the branch. Maybe another month and my bush will be full.

My mother has always considered the camellia her favorite flower and they bloomed very early in Sacramento. The large camellia bush outside of our door in the Arden Park home was appropriately called "Lady Claire" large bright pink blooms with yellow stamens. Hope my mother and sister have had a good time on their cruise.
