Photoessay #89 - New camp staff member
Ilana reports that Naomi went through the staff initiation last weekend, that now she was considered 'staff', received her staff shirt and now gets to 'sing in' the campers at meals. I know that Naomi has been a great counselor-in-training and will make an excellent counselor. An excellent elementary school teacher also, I hope she continues to be interested in teaching for a career.
Here, Naomi works with one of her Brownies during the campfire last weekend. I'm sure they all loved her. Great experience to work with scouts of all ages and have some independence.
As Naomi files her nails, knits and continues her girl scout camp counselor career, I can see the complex influence of heredity....my mother!

If there was one thing (attribute) that I would want my daughter or neices to pick up from my mother . . . it would be Girl Scouts! Although mine is not going to continue she has picked up only positive ideas and skills. What great way for yours to continue to grow under the Girl Scout name!
