Photoessay #86 - Stuffies

Back to a reprise 2002 photo. 5 years ago? Really? Susana decided to stuff some pillows as xmas presents for friends. She purchased some big bags of styrofoam stuffies.

Mom says "No stuffies! Don't do it! They will get everywhere, do NOT open those bags. Do not bring them in the house. You'll be SOOOORRRRYYY!"
She replies "Of course, it's going to be fine. I can do stuffies. I know what I'm doing.
"They will get EVERYWHERE"
"No they won't. Why are you so weird about these little stuffies?"

Observe the results. Stuffies out of control. Sticking to everything. Clothes, broom, daughters. Ilana comes in to share in the fun. Susanna, the only one to keep her room in decent order aghast at the stuffie disaster.

She somehow cleaned it up. Afterwards, she says to me "You were right, I should never have opened those bags! What a mess!"

I thought that this was maybe the only time in the near past or future when I'm right.

Ha! I love this. It is true: getting acquainted with the true, wicked nature of "stuffies" (we always called them "peanuts") is part of growing up into adulthood!

This one made me laugh! I'll let you know if my daughter ever tells me I was right about something.
