I made it to Folklife!

We didn't think it could be done.  But we did it, Dennis and I went to Folklife today.  Folklife is a large community driven festival of music, dance, participation and what all that takes place at Seattle Center on Memorial Day weekend.  We used to go all the time in times past until the crowds got to me.  But, when I went, I would always see something really worthwhile and inspiring and always unintended.  But we hadn't gone in several years, Dennis sometimes.

But this year we attended something planned.  Our friend Pat who passed away on April 17 had always run the participatory international dance session.  This year, at this session there was going to be an announcement about Pat.  So we went.  We saw Marjory who was married to Pat.  And we even danced.

Then we went to see some other stuff and had some strawberry shortcake and polish sausage.  Saw some jamming and dancing.  And ended up at the Exhibit Hall watching some Balkan dancing.

I did really well, kept up with everything, walked here and there and generally had a good time.  It helped that the weather was pleasant and it wasn't too crowded early in the day.  Feeling really good about it.
