Tauras crawl

A rare day when I have *two* good ideas.

So I get a request from the chair of the Archives Committee for the Jewish Historical Society.  They are looking for information about Taurus crawls from a local outlying congregation.

Taurus crawl?  Is that like some crazy astrology fundraiser?  Nothing comes up on google.  We hardly have any information on this congregation.  What the heck is a Tauras crawl?

Our current archivist, many good qualities but not Jewish.  My colleague mused that maybe something phonetic.

Taurus crawl.  Taurus crawl.

***TORAH SCROLL***

Now that makes sense.  Looking for the history of their torah scroll.  Everybody agrees, that's it.

My other good idea?  We were talking about Ahad Ha-Am and cultural zionism in my Jewish Thought class.  I thought what would be like the cultural center he was envisioning and I came up with the Mormon settlement in Utah.  Told Professor P after class and he really liked it.  "Yes, that fits, hmmm, I like it." he says.

Or similar.

Two ideas.  One day.
