We took our daughter in law out for her birthday last night.
But first it was my mothers yartzeit. I wanted to go to temple to hear her name read. And I like other family members to come with me. Dennis goes (I can sweeten with Klezmer Night) Naomi was in Greece, Ilana in Indiana, Danny said he had to work late. But Megan and Susanna came. Talking to Ronnie, the shamush. Did we want to light the candles? I remember Susanna (with me and Dennis) lit the candles once and she speaks of it. So I signed us up but it was time for services and they hadn't shown yet. Ronnie goes for the backup plan. At the last minute, they come flying in, I ask them to light the candles and after some hemming and carrying on, they do. And we did and it was very sweet.
This is an early service so we are out before 7:30. We ask Megan where she would like to go for her birthday dinner, she says Thai. So we find a place nearby and go. It was fine. Here's Megan, I think she's the youngest, just turning 29.
